Billerica Colonial Encampment
On Friday, June 7, 2019 members of the Billerica Minutemen are scheduled to set up on the back lawn near the kindergarten playground. Students will be able to visit the encampment to learn more about life during the 1700's.
Field Day
Planning for our last field day has begun. Please make sure that you have a valid CORI on file before the event. Any individual without a processed CORI will not be allowed to volunteer during the event.

Please click on the link to view our spring lunch menu. We are in week 2. Please note for the remainder of the year Wednesday lunch choice is Nachos.
Meet the Teacher Day
Students in kindergarten through grade three will have an opportunity to meet their teacher for next year on Monday, June 17. Transportation will be provided to their new schools within the district. Buses will leave the Vining between 8:30 and 8:45 for 9:00 visit. The permission form for this visit will be sent home this week. Please return it to your child's classroom teacher as soon as possible.
Middle School Visits
Students in grades four and five are scheduled to visit the Marshall and Locke Middle Schools during the last week of May. Grade four will visit on May 29 and grade five will visit on May 30. Transportation will be provided. Please return the permission slip that was sent home last week as soon as possible. Students without permission will not be able to attend the trip.
Next Year
Please contact Mrs. Brewster if your home address is changing or if your child will be attending school outside of Billerica. We are in the process of planning for the 2019/2020 school year.
Senior Breakfast
This year's senior class is invited back to the Vining for a special breakfast and a last walk through of the building on Friday, May 31.
School Committee Presentation
On Monday, June 10, 2019 the Vining Elementary School is scheduled to present for the final time at the School Committee meeting. We are in the process of putting together a slideshow of photos that were taken during the 2018-2019 school year. I am inviting all Vining Community members to attend this presentation. It would be wonderful if we were able to fill the cafeteria with Vining families to celebrate our community.
