School Re-opens
Celtics Tickets Raffle
Please help support the Vining Elementary School fourth and fifth grade students in their fundraising efforts, and enter for a chance to win a grand prize of four tickets to see the Celtics play the Pacers on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are in Balcony 302, Row 6, Seats 1-4; includes a parking pass. Winner will be drawn on December 20.
Purchase 1 raffle ticket for $5, purchase 3 raffle tickets for $10, or purchase 7 raffle tickets for $20 (best value). All of the proceeds will be put directly towards the fourth and fifth grade end of year field trips and end of year celebrations.
Entry details will be sent in a separate email.
Coats for Kids
Thank you to the families that have already begun to donate winter coats and jackets.
The Vining School is hosting a Coat for Kids coat drive. Please donate new and gently used winter coats. All donated items will be professionally cleaned by Anton's and distributed to local families in need. The donation box is located in the main hallway.
We will be sending home lunch to go order forms this week. Please return the form if you would like your child to purchase a bag lunch for the scheduled half-day on December 21.

Morning Drop-off
Fun Run - Vining/Ditson
In March, we are planning to join the Ditson School in a fundraising event. Additional information will be sent home in the new year. The date of the Fun Run is Thursday, March 14
Game Night Orders
Thank you to everyone that came to Game Night on Thursday Night. We hope you had fun trying out some new games!
If you were not able to attend or did attend and are interested in ordering games, please contact Tracey Burke at traceybrown76@msn.com or send your order to school no later than Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Payment must be made by either cash or check made out to Vining PTO. Final orders will be submitted on Tuesday and games will be available before winter vacation. Thank you to everyone that has already donated to the Tree of Warmth. This is the last week that we will be collecting warm winter items to donate to Catie's Closet. Please consider donating scarves, hats, mittens, and gloves. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 14.
