School Re-opens
Celtics Tickets Raffle
Please help support the Vining Elementary School fourth and fifth grade students in their fundraising efforts, and enter for a chance to win a grand prize of four tickets to see the Celtics play the Pacers on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are in Balcony 302, Row 6, Seats 1-4; includes a parking pass. Winner will be drawn on December 20.
Purchase 1 raffle ticket for $5, purchase 3 raffle tickets for $10, or purchase 7 raffle tickets for $20 (best value). All of the proceeds will be put directly towards the fourth and fifth grade end of year field trips and end of year celebrations.
Entry details will be sent in a separate email.
Coats for Kids
Thank you to the families that have already begun to donate winter coats and jackets.
The Vining School is hosting a Coat for Kids coat drive. Please donate new and gently used winter coats. All donated items will be professionally cleaned by Anton's and distributed to local families in need. The donation box is located in the main hallway.
Library
Students will have library on Wednesday and Friday this week.
Morning Drop-off
If you drive your child to school in the morning, please remember to not pass the school busses while in the driveway. This is to ensure the safety or our students, and it is the law.
Quick request/reminder: Vining staff does not begin work until 7:45am. Please do not drop your child off prior to this time.
Recess
When the weather and temperatures permit, student will have outdoor recess. Please remind your child to wear warm winter gear to school and recess.
Report Cards
Please contact portalhelp@billericak12.com if you have difficulty accessing your child's Aspen account. Please include your name, your child's name, and class/grade in the body of your email.
Star Party
Join us on Friday night for the Vining School Star Party. Families will be able to observe the stars from the playground. Pizza will be available.
Tree of Warmth Collections

Thank you to everyone that has already donated to the Tree of Warmth. We are collecting warm winter items to donate to Catie's Closet. Please consider donating scarves, hats, mittens, and gloves. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 14.
