Tuesday - Favorite book character or favorite color - dress up as your favorite character from a book or in your favorite color.

Thursday - Superhero or villain day - wear your favorite superhero/villain t-shirt.
Friday - Summer Fun day - wear your summer or sport team gear. Please no bathing suits.

June Lunch Menu - Please note that tomorrow's lunch will be the field day BBQ lunch. Please make sure that your child has returned their lunch slip to the cafeteria.
Field Day
Vining School Field Day has been rescheduled for Monday, June 18. We are asking that students in each grade wear the same color. Please see the list below for the grade colors.
Kindergarten - Gray
1st grade - Yellow
2nd grade - Red
3rd grade - Green
4th grade - Blue
5th grade - Orange
Students are also asked to wear comfortable clothing, socks, and sneakers. Students are scheduled to be outside for most of the day. Please remember to apply sunscreen to your child before he/she comes to school. A sunscreen tent will be set up on the playground for any student to re-apply sunscreen throughout the day. Please let the office know if you do not want your child to use the provided sunscreen.
Tomorrow's forecast is hazy, hot, and humid. Please remember to send your child to school with a labeled water bottle. Additional water will be available throughout the day.
We have made a few changes to the field day events calendar to include multiple water activities, a misting tent, and a sprinkler. You may want to send an change of clothing and a towel to school with your child.

Step-up Day
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018 students in kindergarten through grade four will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher and see who is in their class next year.
Please look for the summer math and reading packets that will come home on Tuesday. Your child's current teacher will pass them out in the afternoon.
