Field Day
Vining School Field Day is scheduled for Friday, June 15. We are asking that students in each grade wear the same color. Please see the list below for the grade colors.
Kindergarten - Gray
1st grade - Yellow
2nd grade - Red
3rd grade - Green
4th grade - Blue
5th grade - Orange
Students are also asked to wear comfortable clothing, socks, and sneakers. Students are scheduled to be outside for most of the day. Please remember to apply sunscreen to your child before he/she comes to school and to send in a water bottle labeled with their name. The forecast for Friday is sunny and warm.
Field Day is not an open event. All volunteers must have a valid CORI and be scheduled for the day. Volunteers are asked to sign into the main office before entering school grounds. All CORI forms must be submitted by Tuesday, June 5, 2018 to be approved in time for Field Day.
To volunteer, please return the orange form that was sent home late last week.

Walk-a-Thon
Our Walk-a-Thon is scheduled for Friday, June 15 during Field Day. This is a friendly reminder to please send donation envelopes to the main office by Wednesday, June 13.

Dear Vining Parents,

We'd like to send out a big congratulations to the students that came to the meetings and did the work to help grow our student blog.
If your child participated please head over to the blog and in the search box type in your child's name to see the blog posts that they wrote or co-wrote. They all did a fantastic job.
We look forward to seeing the kids next year to continue our work. If you have a child going into the 2nd grade (the blog is for 2nd graders - 5th graders) consider sending your child to the Vining Shining Star meetings!
