Scholastic Book Fair eWallet
We are excited to announce a new way to pay for books during our upcoming book fair called eWallet. It is an easy-to-use digital option. All you have to do is set up an account by visiting scholastic.com/fair, find the Vining homepage, and add funds. On the day of the fair, your child will be able to access the funds. Any unused money will be released back to the credit card on file.
BATV Summer Program
BATV is offering four free summer programs this year. Topics include Acting for the Camera, Behind the Camera. Virtual Reality (2 sessions), and Editing with Premiere. Please contact Amber at amber@batvinc.org if you are interested.
Art and Poetry Night
This year's Art and Poetry Night is scheduled for Monday, May 21, 2018 at 6:00pm, at the Billerica Public Library. All art and poetry must be submitted to the main office by Thursday, May 17. Please see the Art and Poetry packet that was sent home late last week for submission guidelines. New this year is two reading raffles. Please email Mrs. Kathleen Skelton with any questions at kathskelton@live.com.
Penny Wars - Dollars for Scholars Class of Collection
Each year students collect money to donate to the Dollars for Scholars "Class of" Scholarship fund. The collected money is awarded to graduating seniors from that class. For example, students in grade 2 are the class of 2027, and each year any money collected is saved until their graduation. In the spring of 2027, the money will be awarded to students in the form of a scholarship.
Vining Student Council is asking for your help in supporting this program by participating in the Penny Wars. Please donate any spare change through Friday, April 6, 2018
